BASIC SUPERVISORY LEADERSHIP SKILLS TRAINING

This 2-day Basic Supervisory Leadership Training is designed to prepare participants for effective management and leadership roles by facilitating a shift in a new mindset from working independently to producing results through others. This course will equip them with the right skills to perform their basic management functions and their role as leaders.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completing the program, participants would be able to:

  • Explain  the scope, nature, and responsibility of the supervision/management role and the demands this role places on them.
  • Identify the importance of setting goals, planning and prioritizing, in order to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Determine their vital role as leaders, team builders, and good communicators, and acquire leadership skills that impact on effective supervision of their team.
  • Create a personal development plan to apply learning in the workplace.

TARGET LEARNERS

The program is open to employees who have recently taken on or who are about to be promoted to a position where they are in charge of a team of colleagues, either in a line management role or as a project leader and who have not taken a formal course on supervision.  Senior staff who are being groomed for supervisory positions are also encouraged to attend this Program.

 

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

EVIE H. TADEFA

Evie is an experienced corporate manager and leader, with a wealth of experience in organizational and people development  with major corporations and government-owned agencies. Her areas of expertise cover talent development, workplace learning and performance, strategic planning, management and leadership development, customer service, competency development,  performance management, coaching and mentoring, trainers training, and team development.

She started her career in training and consultancy with the Development Academy of the Philippines. Led the Training group  of Digital Telecommunications and became Assistant Director for Training and OD of  St. Luke’s Medical Center.  For 13 years, she headed the Training and Development group of SM Retail, Inc., and  recently, as Director for Training and Development of  Prime Pacific Grill Corporation.

Evie holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and  a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Industrial Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology.

Evie is active in professional institutions, serving as a volunteer in advocating OD and L & D practices:

She’s currently a Board of Trustees and Vice-President for Internal Affairs of the Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD).

She’s also a member of OD Practitioner’ Network (ODPN).

At present, Evie is an independent HR  and Learning and Development Consultant.

Cancellation by Attendee

  •         Cancellation made 14 days before the day of the event is free. Thereafter, a cancellation fee of 50% of the investment cost shall be charged.
  •         No refund shall be given for cancellations made three (3) days before the event.

  •         Only upon presentation of the original copy of bank deposit slip or Official Receipt by Higher Heights and a valid ID can a participant claim their refund.

Right to be forgotten

Under the Data Privacy Act and the IRR, data subjects have the right to erasure and blocking. You, therefore, have the right to suspend, withdraw, order the blocking, removal or destruction of your personal information from our Personal Information Controller’s filing system.

Objection to direct marketing and profiling

The Data Privacy Act defines direct marketing as communication by whatever means of any advertising or marketing material which is directed to particular individuals. The IRR explicitly states that the data subject has the right to object to the processing of his or her personal data, including processing for direct marketing, automated processing or profiling. The data subject shall be notified and given an opportunity to withhold consent to the processing in case of changes or any amendment to the information supplied or declared data.

Other rights

The data subject is also entitled to object to unauthorised use of their personal information and to have inaccurate or incorrect personal information corrected in some cases.

The rights of the data subject are transmissible to their heirs and assigns at any time after the death of the data subject or when the data subject is incapacitated or incapable of exercising his rights.
